A dupla Caju e Castanha devem começar a produzir um CD evangélico para ser lançado pela WS, gravadora do apóstolo Valdemiro Santiago, que fez o convite para que a dupla se apresse em criar esse trabalho.
Ricardo Alves da Silva (Caju) e José Roberto da Silva (Castanha) já se apresentaram em todo o Brasil, essa formação está na estrada desde 2002 depois que João Albertino da Silva faleceu devido a um câncer.
José Roberto e José Albertino criaram a dupla na década de 70 se apresentando com pandeiros feitos de lata de marmelada, ao longo dos anos os emboladores ganharam fama nacional até que a enfermidade de Caju quase colocou um fim na carreira até que Ricardo, sobrinho de João Roberto se tornou o novo Caju.
João destacou em entrevista para o site da Igreja Mundial do Poder de Deus que sua mãe é evangélica há mais de 30 anos, mas que ele pessoalmente, tem cerca de 15 anos de conversação e que está há sete anos na Igreja Mundial.
Eles chegaram ao ministério fundado por Valdemiro Santiago através da TV, um veículo fortemente usado pelo líder religioso para atrair fiéis. “Víamos os milagres e ouvíamos a palavra do Apóstolo Valdemiro Santiago, Deus tocou em nosso coração dai viemos um dia para nunca mais sair”, relata.
Sobre a produção de um CD os emboladores adiantam que será uma grande honra.
“Será uma honra para nós falarmos de Jesus no ritmo de embolada e com isso levar a palavra de Deus aos simpatizantes desse ritmo. Tudo que Deus criou os ritmos, a música, tudo é para o louvor e a Glória de Deus e faremos parte dessa obra com muita alegria e retidão, mas acima de tudo grato a Deus por sua obra em nossas vidas”.
